Resolutions for Bee:

From Andrea (Andi), my best friend:

From Ed, a good friend and Andi's older brother:
-"Try something new/ something you're afraid of every month, and write a blog about it."

From Adam, my best guy friend:
-"Set aside $50 from every paycheck" (this may have to wait for after march, I currently barely scrape by from paycheck to paycheck)

From Luis, my boyfriend of nearly 4 years:
-"Get comfortable in large bodies of water/ ocean" ( I don't know how to swim :-X)

From Alysha, my good friend and roomie:
-"Finish one complete piece of art every month"

From Virginia ("Vee"), my sister from another mister:
-Originally same idea as Lysh, but since we want to start a TShirt company, we'll go with "One new piece of commercial art (book illustration, tshirt designs, etc) every month to 2 months"

The Things to Come...

"So many fail because they don't get started - they don't go. They don't overcome inertia. They don't begin."
-W. Clement Stone

2012 is on the horizon, and I can't help but think of what lies ahead for me. In just a few months I will be turning 25, moving back home and in with my mom, and in just a very, very short few months I will be single for the first time in nearly 4 years (this is why I hate March). So, I'm basically on the brink of a Quarter-Life-Crisis. Lame, I know, but true. 2012 will be a test of the strength of my heart, my self discipline and determination, and above all else my willpower.

So as I looked at what the year had in store for me and what I wanted to accomplish, I realized I may need some wild card goals and resolutions to spice up my usual suspects for the year.

Here are the ones that are more or less on my list every year:
-Lose weight/ tone up
-Become more green
-Save money for X, Y, Z
-Get a new job

Pretty plain as per usual, so on top of the regulars this year, I asked some of my closest friends and family to think of a resolution or something they'd like to see me accomplish this year... Needless to say it will be a pretty interesting year.

No more fear of failing, I'm going to take this year by the cahones. So, here's hoping the Mayans just got lazy, and the end of 2012 will not also bring the end of the world. Ready, set, *deep breath* GO.
